About TECO

Technology Consults Limited [TECO] is a multi-disciplinary consultancy firm incorporated in Uganda with over 29 years of experience, having started on 16th January 1992.

As a registered limited liability company, wholly owned, and managed by Ugandans, TECO has carried out more than 100 projects in Uganda with total project value of UGX 100bn construction cost and UGX 30bn as consulting fees. TECO’s average turnover is UGX 1.5bn/year. TECO enjoys considerable reputation in the housing sector in Uganda for its timely, professional delivery of cost effective engineering consulting solutions, and an excellent understanding of local conditions.

Mission

The Mission of TECO is to provide one-stop consulting services in technical areas, combining
practical reality with academic thoroughness and excellence.

The Future

By providing one-stop consultancy services under a company owned by professionals, TECO
hopes to become a market leader in providing technical and expert consultancy services in
Uganda. We also seek to set an example to be followed by other professionals in building up
Uganda’s consultancy to credible and internationally competitive standards.

Firm`s Personnel

TECO is a university based consulting firm with over 95 shareholders and is by far the largest
consulting firm in Uganda and East Africa and probably Africa with over 140 consultants.
TECO boasts of high calibre staff that are at per with the world’s top consulting/research firms
with several PhD holders, others currently pursuing PhD’s, Masters holders, and others Technology Consults Ltd Company Profile 2014 4  graduates, in addition to other support staff. TECO also has a good network of other professionals and independent specialists based within and outside the university who are hired at peak demand.

The width and depth of experience of our Consultants is evident from the CVs of the Key professional personnel. TECO is facilitated in its efficiency of delivery by being fully computerised in all phases of project delivery, and having a wide consultant base (more than 30 in-house) which ensures that full deployment can be used for rapid delivery at design stages at no extra cost to the client.

TECO has successfully completed projects for leading international funding agencies such as the World Bank, The African Development Bank, Islamic Development Bank, DANIDA,
NORAD, and SIDA/SAREC.
