Description of Work

TECO has been engaged by Makerere University and Kiira Motors Corporation for the Kiira Vehicle Plant Production Facilities at Jinja Industrial and Business Park, Jinja. Phase 1 (from 2018): consultancy for the preparation of detailed designs, specifications, servicing facilities and construction supervision of the vehicle facilities; services included detailed architectural and engineering designs, BOQs, specifications and construction supervision, plus project management and contract supervision (interim certificates, instructions and details, Final Account). Expansion (from 2020): consultancy for the preparation of detailed designs and specifications for the expansion of the Kiira Vehicle Plant Production Facilities; services included feasibility and site analysis, architectural and engineering designs, BOQs, specifications and tender documentation. The team across both assignments comprised an Architect, Structural & Civil Engineers, Electrical & Mechanical Engineers, and a Quantity Surveyor.
